Crude oil is a valuable liquid resource used in various industrial processes. 
It can be refined in a [Refinery](@oritech:refinery_block) to produce fuel and other useful materials.

## Finding Oil

Large oil reservoirs can be found on the surface, where they appear as oil gushing from the ground.

Oil deposits are much more common in **desert biomes**, so deserts are the best place to look.

## Extraction

Oil can be collected with buckets or pumped directly using a [Pump](@oritech:pump_block).
Once extracted, it can be stored in tanks and sent to a refinery for processing.
