Filterfeeders are an animal that can be found swimming along the bottom of oceans and rivers. Swimming near one will clear your vision of water fog, allowing you to see farther.

They come in two types: [Item Filterfeeders](@critterworks:item_filterfeeder) and [Fluid Filterfeeders](@critterworks:fluid_filterfeeder). Right-clicking one will catch it, converting it into the appropriate item. These items are used as item/fluid filters, meant to be inserted into things like [Web Ports](@critterworks:web_port).

They spawn in small groups, with 20% of them being Fluid Filterfeeders.
