The **Basic** Gene is a filler Gene, and cannot be injected into anything. Its sole use is for DNA Points in the [Plasmid Infuser](@geneticsresequenced:plasmid_infuser).

## Obtaining

All mobs that don't have any specific Gene will give this. Additionally, most mobs that *do* have specific Genes also have a chance to give this Gene instead.
