--- title: Metal Syringe id: geneticsresequenced:metal_syringe related_items: [geneticsresequenced:metal_syringe] type: item --- The **Metal Syringe** is used to hold blood, which is the primary medium for injecting Genes into a host. **Only the blood's owner will be able to accept the Genes contained within it.** Hold right-click to use the syringe, extracting blood from the entity you're looking at. While holding a filled Metal Syringe, the blood's owner will glow through walls. It will be contaminated, requiring decontamination in a [Blood Purifier](@geneticsresequenced:blood_purifier) before it can be used. Then, place it into a [Plasmid Injector](@geneticsresequenced:plasmid_injector) to inject completed [Plasmids](@geneticsresequenced:plasmid) into it. Each completed Plasmid contains a Gene, which will be given to the blood's owner upon re-injecting the blood. You can have as many Plasmids injected into the Syringe as you like. Once you have a Syringe with injected Plasmids, use the Syringe again to re-inject the blood back into the owner, granting them the Genes contained within.
