# Turret

Turns a pedestal into an automatic spell turret. Put your bound CAD on the pedestal and draw this circle on it: the turret fires the CAD's selected spell at the nearest target in range, paid for from your network.

The item pinned to the circle decides what it fires at, and with nothing pinned it fires at nothing. A sword targets hostile mobs, an egg peaceful animals, an emerald villagers, and an item a mob drops targets that mob. A block item targets that block, an axe targets logs and leaves, and pickaxes target stone or, for a better pickaxe, obsidian and ancient debris, for spells that work on blocks. It never targets players, tamed animals or named mobs.

Higher levels reach further and shoot faster. Range is 4 blocks per level (36 at level 9), and the pause after each shot shrinks from 9 seconds at level 1 to 1 second at level 9.
