# Fence Poles

Fence Poles are essential security structures used to create electrified barriers that contain prehistoric creatures.  
Connected by wires and powered by geothermal generators, these fences form the primary containment system for your park, inspired by the iconic electric fences from the Jurassic Park franchise.

## Fence Pole Types

### Legacy Pole

#### Functionality
- **Type**: Basic fence pole (legacy design)
- **Connection**: Requires **Legacy Wire**
- **Power**: Requires [**Geothermal Power Generator**]($content/machines/geothermal_generator) to electrify
- **Security Level**: Basic containment
- **Craftable**: No (Creative Mode only)

#### Usage
1. Place Legacy Poles to form fence corners and supports
2. Connect poles using Legacy Wire
3. Link to a Geothermal Power Generator to electrify the fence
4. Electric fences will deter and damage creatures that touch them

### Low Security Pole

#### Functionality
- **Type**: Standard fence pole
- **Connection**: Requires **Wire Spool**
- **Power**: Requires [**Geothermal Power Generator**]($content/machines/geothermal_generator) to electrify
- **Security Level**: Low security containment
- **Craftable**: Yes

#### Usage
1. Craft Low Security Poles using the recipe below
2. Place poles to form fence perimeter
3. Connect poles using Wire Spool
4. Link to a Geothermal Power Generator to electrify the fence
5. Suitable for smaller, less aggressive creatures

### Medium Security Pole

- **Security Level**: Medium security containment
- **Craftable**: Yes

#### Usage
1. Craft Medium Security Poles using the recipe below
2. Place poles to form reinforced fence perimeter
3. Connect poles using Wire Spool
4. Link to a Geothermal Power Generator to electrify the fence
5. Suitable for larger, more dangerous creatures

## Fence Construction Guide

### Basic Setup
1. **Plan Your Enclosure**: Determine the size and shape of your containment area
2. **Place Poles**: Position fence poles at corners and intervals along the perimeter
3. **Connect with Wire**: Use Legacy Wire or Wire Spool to connect poles
4. **Add Power**: Place a Geothermal Power Generator and connect it to the fence system
5. **Activate**: The fence will electrify when properly powered

### Power Requirements
- All fence types require connection to a [**Geothermal Power Generator**]($content/machines/geothermal_generator)
- Fences will not function without power
- Multiple fences can be connected to a single generator
- Ensure continuous power supply for reliable containment

### Security Levels
- **Legacy Pole**: Basic containment for small herbivores
- **Low Security Pole**: Suitable for medium-sized creatures and peaceful species
- **Medium Security Pole**: Required for large carnivores and aggressive species
