*Basiliscus amoratus*, commonly known as the **brown basilisk**, is a species of lizard native to **Central America**.
It is famous for its ability to run across the surface of water, earning it the nickname "Jesus Christ lizard."
In-game, the Basilisk is a small, passive mob that adds atmosphere to tropical and river environments.
