The *Ostrich* is the largest living bird, native to the savannas and deserts of **Africa**.
It is flightless but highly adapted for running, with long legs capable of reaching speeds up to 70 km/h.
Ostriches are known for their distinctive long necks, powerful legs, and large eggs  the biggest of any living bird.

- Ostriches are one of the few modern animals included in Jurassic Saga, serving as a source of Ostrich Eggs needed for hatching large dinosaurs.
- Ostrich Eggs are the largest eggs used in the mod, required for creatures like Tyrannosaurus, Triceratops, Parasaurolophus, and other massive dinosaurs.
- Despite popular myth, ostriches don't actually bury their heads in sand when frightened  this misconception comes from their habit of lying flat to avoid detection.
