# Syringe

The Syringe is a reusable tool essential for genetic engineering and DNA extraction.  
Used to extract genes from creatures, clean eggs, and fertilize seeds, the Syringe is a fundamental item for creating prehistoric life in Jurassic Saga.

- **Primary Uses**:
- Extract genes from living creatures
- Clean eggs for fertilization
- Fertilize eggs with DNA
- Fertilize seeds with Plant DNA

## Usage

### Extracting Genes

Right-click on any vanilla mob with a **Clean Syringe** to extract their associated gene:
1. Approach a mob that has an extractable gene
2. Right-click the mob with a Clean Syringe
3. The syringe extracts the gene and becomes dirty
4. The extracted gene is added to your inventory

### Cleaning Eggs

Used in crafting to prepare eggs for fertilization:
- **Input**: Creature Egg + Clean Syringe
- **Output**: Unfertilized Egg (egg becomes ready for DNA fertilization)
- **Result**: Syringe becomes dirty after crafting

### Fertilizing Eggs

Used in crafting to create fertilized eggs:
- **Input**: DNA + Unfertilized Egg + Clean Syringe
- **Output**: Fertilized Egg (ready for incubation)
- **Result**: Syringe becomes dirty after crafting

### Fertilizing Seeds

Used in crafting to create fertilized plant seeds:
- **Input**: Plant DNA + Unfertilized Seeds + Clean Syringe
- **Output**: Fertilized Plant Seeds (ready for cultivation)
- **Result**: Syringe becomes dirty after crafting

## Cleaning

After use in crafting or gene extraction, the Syringe becomes dirty and must be cleaned before reuse:

1. Hold the **Dirty Syringe** in your hand
2. Throw on any water source (ocean, river, lake, or water block, cauldrons, half slabs with waterlogged)
3. The syringe instantly becomes clean and ready for reuse

**Important:** Dirty syringes cannot be used for any crafting recipes or gene extraction until cleaned.

- Syringes never break or run out, making them a permanent investment
- Any water source works for cleaning  rivers, oceans, or even a single water block
- Plan your gene extraction trips by identifying which mobs you need before heading out
