Nickel is one of the first resources you'll need to gather in Oritech.
Nickel ores generate in the overworld between **Y -65 and Y 40**.

This metal is used in several alloys, such as [adamant](@oritech:adamant_ingot)
and [energite](@oritech:energite_ingot), and is used in most machines and machine parts.

Processing raw nickel or nickel ore in a [fragment forge](@oritech:fragment_forge_block)
is a good way to get some [platinum](@oritech:platinum_ingot) as a byproduct.
