Machine cores determine the quality of Oritech multiblock machines. Better cores do not automatically make a machine faster. Their main purpose is to increase how many layers of extenders and connected addons a machine can support.

**Crafting**
- Machine cores are crafted in tiers, with each tier raising the quality ceiling.
- Tier 1 uses planks and a crafting table.
- Tier 2 uses copper or iron with lapis.
- Tier 3 uses [Carbon Fibre Strands](@oritech:carbon_fibre_strands) or [Nickel](@oritech:nickel_ingot) with Redstone.
- Tier 4 uses [Machine Plating Blocks](@oritech:machine_plating_block) and [Enderic Compound](@oritech:enderic_compound).
- Tier 5 uses [Adamant](@oritech:adamant_ingot) and [Advanced Computing Engines](@oritech:advanced_computing_engine).
- Tier 6 uses [Duratium](@oritech:duratium_ingot) and [Dubious Containers](@oritech:dubios_container).
- Tier 7 uses [Prometheum](@oritech:promethium_ingot) and [Superconductors](@oritech:superconductor).

**Usage**
- Multiblock machines highlight their required core positions when right-clicked.
- You can also right-click a machine with a core in hand to place the next valid core automatically, as long as the target spot is unobstructed.
- The resulting machine quality controls extender depth and addon scaling rather than raw crafting speed.
