Spawning

The royal ovamorph has three primary ways of spawning depending on the settings in the configuration file.

• Natural spawning
• World Generation
• Queen Generation

Natural Spawning:

When natural spawning is turned on in the configuration royal_ovamorphs will spawn on resin blocks inside of a hives radius as long as the hive is alive at a very low chance. This setting is on by default.

World Generation:

There are specific structures built in the world by a mysterious force that have royal ovamorphs on them.

Queen Generation

When a Queen spawns an eggsack she will being to produce Ovamorphs in a 20 block radius around her. There is a very rare chance one of these will be a royal ovamorph. These will carry her genetic information as well.

Behavior

Royal Ovamorphs will remain still staying secured to the ground with resin. While secure they cannot be pushed even by water. If a player right clicks on a royal ovamorph with sheers it will release the resin holding it, allowing it to be moved but be careful. When a viable host bumps, touches, or gets withing 2 blocks of a royal ovamorph it will trigger it to open, when this occurs a Royal Facehugger is spawned and will attempt to attach to the closest host it can find. When damaged a royal ovamorph will bleed acid.

Variants

Due to the xenomophs adaptive nature there isn't just one type of royal ovamorph or caste of the creatures. Below is the various types of royal ovamorphs, their differences, and how to obtain them.

Royal Nether Ovamorph

This type of ovamorph is found in Nether Wastes and in Crimson Forests. With natural spawning turned on the eggs will appear throughout the biomes, otherwise you will need to find them by locating a queen. The coloring of the ovamorph adapted to resemble gilded blackstone in order to attract their most common host piglins. When damaged they also bleed acid however their acid is blue and catches fire when exposed to the air.

Royal Aberrant Ovamorph

This type of ovamorph can only be obtained through special means. You will need to apply Poison Jelly to a royal ovamorph. Once applied the egg will become corrupted forever changing it into a royal aberrant ovamorph, assuming it then finds a host it will become an Aberrant Queen and then through her you can obtain this rare ovamorph. All things considered the xenomorphs from these eggs are weaker than the standard strain but present certain benefits to an intelligent player.

Drops

Royal Ovamorphs will drop Resin Balls when right clicked with sheers.
