The Spawner Controller controls the automated mob spawning system. When placed above a spawner cage, it can be used to spawn specific mob types.
Warning
Oritech Inc accepts no liability for existential crises experienced by mobs questioning their purpose in life, nor for any ethical concerns you may develop about industrialized soul harvesting.
Setup
The mob type is determined by the first entity that walks over the controller. This type can only be changed by breaking and replacing the controller. Once a mob type is set, the controller will highlight the required size of the spawner cage needed underneath it.
Operation
The controller collects souls from nearby deaths and consumes them to spawn the assigned mob.
- Soul Cost: The number of souls required for one spawn is calculated based on the mob's health (specifically the square root of its maximum HP).
- Spawn Range: The controller attempts to find a valid spawning surface within a small radius (4 blocks) around itself.
- Redstone Control: Applying a redstone signal to the controller will disable it, stopping all spawning operations.
Right-clicking the controller provides information on its current operational state, including the set mob and current soul levels.
Info
The spawner cannot be set to mob types that are part of the oritech:spawner_blacklist tag.
