Coelurus agilis

Coelurus (sɪˈljʊərəs, "si-LURE-əs") is a genus of small coelurosaurian dinosaur from the Late Jurassic of North America.
Known for its lightweight build and long legs, it was likely a fast, agile predator or opportunistic scavenger.

Appearance

  • Slender, lightweight body built for speed
  • Long legs and narrow torso, giving it a "shadow-through-the-brush" silhouette
  • Small head with sharp teeth suited for catching small prey
  • In-game size: 2.5 blocks long and 1 blocks tall

Behavior

  • Hostile (Requires 2): A single Coelurus will not attack the player; when two or more are present, they become aggressive and coordinate attacks
  • Skittish when alone, bold in groups
  • Prefers brushland, forest edges, and lightly wooded areas

  • The achievement "The Brushland Shadow" references Coelurus's stealthy appearance and preference for brushland habitats
  • The name Coelurus means "hollow tail," referring to its lightweight, hollow-boned skeleton
  • Coelurus's pack behavior mechanic adds strategic depth, as lone individuals are harmless but groups become dangerous
