Etheric Sword

The Etheric Sword deals damage comparable to a Diamond Sword, and has infinite durability.

What makes it special, however, is that you can right-click with the Sword to scrape off some of your soul, creating a Soul Shard and incurring Soul Debt.

This will permanently remove 1 heart from your health bar, but using a Soul Shard will permanently ADD a heart.

Configuration

The amount of health each Soul Shard is worth can be configured.

Additionally, there are several options for what happens upon death. By default, you will keep your Soul Debt as it is.

However, you can also configure it so that your Soul Debt is reset to 0, or make it so that you only lose the negative health but keep any positive health you've gained.
