Fire's Reflamed adds swords and a brand new weapon type — the Bat — for each material tier. Bats are slower than swords but hit harder, giving you a choice of playstyle at every tier.
Swords
Standard sword weapons, one for each material tier. All swords use fast attack speed (-2.4).

Bats
Bats are a new weapon type exclusive to Fire's Reflamed. They deal more damage than swords of the same tier but attack more slowly. Bats are not stackable (max stack: 1) and are crafted using a Block of the relevant material.

The Wooden Bat is available from the very start of the game — no special materials required, just logs and a stick.
