This module replaces the vanilla goal-based bee AI with a brain-based one, so bees stop piling up on ceilings, forgetting their hive, or giving up on flowers. Ported from Brainier Bees by dopadream, used under its MIT license.
The whole module is disabled automatically if Brainier Bees is installed.
Features:
- Enable Brainier Bees: Swaps the vanilla bee goals for a brain (the same AI system villagers, piglins and axolotls use) with dedicated tasks for wandering, finding flowers, pollinating, growing crops, locating a hive and flying home. Enabled by default.
- Max Wander Radius: How far in blocks a bee may wander from its hive, and how long it is allowed to spend flying home before it gives that hive up. Defaults to
22, matching vanilla. - Flower Locate Range: Radius in blocks that a bee searches for flowers. Defaults to
8(vanilla is5). This is a cubic scan, so larger values cost much more per search. - Bees Avoid Ladders: Makes bees treat ladders as an obstacle to path around instead of hovering into them and getting stuck.
