The Basic Gene is a filler Gene, and cannot be injected into anything. Its sole use is for DNA Points in the Plasmid Infuser.

Obtaining

All mobs that don't have any specific Gene will give this. Additionally, most mobs that do have specific Genes also have a chance to give this Gene instead.
