Speed Upgrades can be placed into certain machines to make them faster. Each Upgrade in the stack makes the machine run an additional time each tick.
Each tier of Upgrades can be stacked higher than the last:
- Speed Upgrade: up to 4
- Speed Upgrade (Magical): up to 16
- Speed Upgrade (Ultimate): up to 64
Speed Upgrades cost Grid Power to function. The amount of GP required depends on the stack size.
The default function is:
stackSize * (122 + 4 * stackSize) / 126.0
So a full stack of each tier would require:
- 4 Speed Upgrades: 4.38 GP
- 16 Speed Upgrades (Magical): 23.62 GP
- 64 Speed Upgrades (Ultimate): 192 GP
Configuration
The server config has a speedUpgradeGpCostMultiplier option that multiplies the GP cost of Speed Upgrades. Setting it to 0 will make them free to use.
Additionally, you can modify the formula itself with KubeJS.
