The usual way to get it is by using an Enderic Laser with a Target Designator on amethyst clusters.

The laser path is important for more than fluxite. Later on, lasers also power machines such as the Atomic Forge, support wireless energy transfer, and help enable some of the mod's highest-end processing.

With a working laser setup, you are now entering the part of Oritech where machines stop being isolated blocks and start becoming systems.
