Faith and the Hunger

The Faith Economy

Burn items in soul fire at a Faith Altar to earn Faith, with diminishing returns on repeatedly burning the same item — discouraging bulk-farming any single item for easy Faith. Check your current Faith total privately with a Weird Amulet.

Faith is spent on the Pantheon's god-specific perk tracks and, after the Sleeping God is defeated, on responding to the Hunger.

The Hunger

A watching presence that starts after you defeat The One Who Sleeps, scaling with your Faith and repeat boss kills.

  • Random blessing and burden moments occur, with visible apparitions and status effects.
  • A semi-permanent, one-way "eyes revealed" milestone changes the appearance of the sun and moon for that player once you hit 1,100 Faith after the kill — reversible from the player's own view using a Sun and Moon Ward, which just hides the changed sky rather than undoing the milestone.
  • Reaching the "eyes revealed" milestone raises The Hunger Tower, a landmark topped with a permanent idol offering cryptic teaser dialogue.

Tokens and the Skill Tree

Tokens of the Hunger, earned from the Hunger's activity, are spent at the Hunger Idol on a choice between The Hunger's Boon (extends blessing duration) or The Hunger's Bindings (shifts blessing/burden odds, with bonus effects at high levels).

Trading Tokens, then Arcane Ink, at the Idol eventually grants The Hunger's Pact — a reusable key that opens the Skill Tree.
