Uranium is a high-yield energy source found in the deepest reaches of the world. Unlike standard mineral deposits, uranium generates in distinct uranium veins that cling to the surfaces of underground caverns.
Generation
Uranium veins primarily generate deep in the world, typically between Y -64 and Y -24. These veins have one special generation rule: they only appear on cave walls or floors where there is exposed air.
In addition to the standard ore blocks, these veins often feature glowing Uranium Crystals that light up the area around them.
Harvesting and Crystals
Uranium ore can be mined normally, but the Uranium Crystals in these veins offer extra options:
- Standard Mining: Breaking the crystals will drop raw uranium, which can be processed into fuel.
- Enderic Laser: Destroying a crystal with an Enderic Laser will yield plutonium dust instead. Plutonium is a much stronger fuel source for Nuclear Reactors.
- Non-Renewable: Unlike amethyst, Uranium Crystals do not regrow. Once a vein is depleted, you must find another.
Warning
Uranium is highly energetic. While the veins themselves aren't dangerous to stand near in their raw form, the pellets and fuel rods derived from them require careful handling in a Reactor to avoid catastrophic meltdowns.
Resource Nodes
