Obtaining

Gastric Acid can be collected with vials or bucketed from a dripping Primal Orifice, or from existing acid-pools (more often than not the drool of the same aforementioned orifice.) These Orifices can be formed in Flesh Mounds below that mound’s Primordial Cradle.

Acid and Zombies

When a Zombie dies to acid or the Corrosion Potion Effect, it will melt the decaying meat off of them, and convert them into an unarmed skeleton. This also extends to zombie horses, turning them into skeleton horses when "slain" with acid.

This has led to astonishing breakthroughs in the field zom-biology, as it turns out baby zombies actually have a fully formed adult-sized skeleton within their surprisingly compact bodies.

Acid Bucket Uses

The ever-useful acid bucket, has great potential for auto-mob farms. Being a fluid that can push mobs (like water) whilst killing them off (like lava) but without destroying the drops in the process.

It truly is a wonderful tool for a Biomancer to take full advantage of. Though, I strongly advise being a bit cautious with it, as it can and will deteriorate some blocks and structures if used recklessly.

Combat Applications?

This is also a weird trick, that I never see mentioned, but acid buckets are great for combat.

• Or perhaps not as much “Combat” as “Mob Disposal”.

Because it can both push mobs back and harm them, you can keep most melee hostiles at distance. Though, bow skeletons, witches, and endermen may make it a bit harder to utilize this strategy.

And in terms of PvP, I doubt most players will ever see it coming. I mean, it’s not every day that your local meat-mage strolls by with a bucket of highly corrosive stomach fluid to melt you to muck. It flows faster than lava, cannot be extinguished, is easily renewable, and you don’t even have to feel bad about it destroying their precious loot! If you haven’t tried it yet, I think it is worth considering. (Despite how impractical it may seem/be.)

You could technically use Acid Buckets to break your fall, but it might just kill you in the process.

Acid Interactions

There is a list of interesting interactions Acid has with other fluids and blocks.

• Water/Lava and Acid create diorite. However, Lava/Water on Acid Source-Blocks creates calcite instead.
• Acid can crack stone bricks
• Acid can oxidize copper faster
• Acid can reduce cobblestone and stone to gravel
• Acid kills grass on dirt
• Acid can be put in a cauldron with Gastric Juice or Bucket
• Acid can be put in a cauldron by an acid projectile from a Primal Orifice

Bulk Digestion with Acid

Acid can actually convert dropped food items into nutrient paste like a Digester, but yields less than a digester would.
