The Scraper is used to acquire Organic Matter from mobs.

Right-click the Scraper on a mob to scrape some Organic Matter off of it, damaging them in the process. The Delicate Touch Enchantment can be applied, negating the damage dealt.

The Organic Matter you acquire will contain the information about the entity type you scraped it from.

Sneak right-clicking empty air will scrape yourself, allowing you to collect Player Organic Matter.
