The Bedrock Extractor is a large machine used to extract resources from below the bedrock layer.
It can only operate when placed directly above resource nodes.
Bedrock Resource Extraction
The extractor scans a 3x3 area below it and mines from the first visible ore nodes found within 3 blocks depth. When right-clicked, the machine will highlight the targeted resource nodes below.
Because of its high power requirements, it cannot be powered via standard cables and must be energized by enderic lasers.
Resource nodes are infinite sources of material and will never be depleted by the extractor.
Operation Details
During operation, the extractor randomly selects one block from the 3x3 area below it for each successful cycle. Not all blocks in the area need to be ore nodes, but for the best yield, you should try to position the extractor over a spot with the maximum number of ore nodes.
