The Pump is used to extract large volumes of liquid from the world. When placed, it extends a trunk downward until it finds a liquid source, at which point it begins scanning and draining the entire connected body of fluid.

Large Body Draining

The pump can drain liquid reservoirs of up to 100,000 blocks in size. For larger reservoirs it might not drain the entire thing. It processes fluids into its internal storage at a rate of 4 buckets per second, with an energy consumption of 512 RF per block removed. The scanning process for very large liquid bodies may take several seconds to initialize.
