The Trial of Yourself

Somewhere in the world there is a door to a dimension that belongs to you alone. Inside, you fight yourself.

A way in exists. This wiki does not say what it is.

The mirror

The Trial puts you in an arena of your own, facing a mirror. The mirror is a perfect copy of you at the moment you walked in.

  • It wears the armour you wore, and carries your best sword and what you held in your off hand.
  • It casts the spells loaded in your CAD, but only the ones you actually know.
  • It has your imbuements and some of the effects you had active.
  • Its health is your base maximum health multiplied by 1.5 by default (mirror_health_multiplier).
  • It charges up first, untouchable, for about eleven seconds by default (mirror_charge_ticks).

Only you can finish it, with your own blows or your own projectiles. Anything else stops at its last point of health, so the kill is always yours, and so is the win.

Losing

If you fall, you do not die. You are sent back to where you came in, healed, and can try again. When you return, a new mirror is copied from you as you are then.

Winning

Winning leaves you a Black Hole beside where you entered, and gives you a Mana Star.

A Black Hole is unlimited storage. Lift the block with a Philosopher's Stone of grade C or better (black_hole_lift_grade) and it becomes an item bound to you. Doing it burns your soul down to 8%, and is refused if you are already at 8% or below. See Soul.

  • Put it on a pedestal and the pedestal opens an unlimited item store on your network.
  • Put two of yours on one pedestal, as twins, and your network also gets a balance of mana with no practical limit. See Mana.

After you have won, stepping into your Black Hole takes you back to your arena.

Zanpakutō

The Trial is also where you forge a Zanpakutō of your own. It is a sword that is yours alone, and it grows with you. Each hit with it costs soul, 2 points per level above the first by default (bankai_soul_per_level).
