Compsognathus is a genus of small, bipedal, carnivorous theropod dinosaur.
Members of its single species, Compsognathus longipes, grew to roughly the size of a chicken, making them one of the smallest known non-avian dinosaurs.
Appearance
- Small, slender body built for quick darting movements
- Long tail used for balance while running
- Narrow snout with small, sharp teeth suited for catching insects and tiny prey
- In-game size: 1 block long, 1 block tall
Behavior
- Hostile (Requires 3):
- A single Compsognathus will not Attack the player
- When three or more are present, they become aggressive and swarm the target
- Highly social and often found in groups
- Quick and evasive, making them tricky to hit despite their low health
Obtaining
Compsognathus does not spawn naturally. To obtain one, you must:
- Find
Compsognathus Remains or fossils
- Use the fossil revival process to create a Compsognathus
- Hatch from a Basilisk Egg type egg
Diet
- Carnivore: feeds on
meat sources - Hunts small animals and scavenges scraps left by larger predators

- Compsognathus was once thought to have been the smallest dinosaur ever! However as more dinosaurs were discovered eventually smaller dinosaurs were found!
- Compsognathus preyed on small animals such as bugs, lizards and other small vertebrates!
- Compsognathus may not be too threatning alone, but a whole swarm of them would be deadly to any unfortunate goats....or (hopefully not) humans!
- The achievement "Dieter's Demise" references the character Dieter Stark from The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997), who was killed by a swarm of Compsognathus
