The Guapote is a small, passive freshwater fish added as an ambient creature. It brings extra life to rivers, lakes, and ponds, swimming in small groups and adding movement to aquatic environments.
Appearance
- Small, streamlined fish with subtle patterning and rounded fins
- Typically swims in short bursts and changes direction quickly
- In-game size: 1 block long and 1 block tall
Behavior
- Passive: Will never attack the player
- Swims calmly in groups and avoids predators
- Prefers shallow freshwater areas
- Occasionally performs quick darting movements when startled
Obtaining
To spawn Guapote, you must:
- Enable Experimental Features
- Guapote will then spawn naturally in rivers and swamps
Diet
- Omnivore: feeds on small invertebrates, algae, and plant matter
- Forages along the riverbed and mid-water column
Drops
When defeated, the Guapote does not drop any items.

Mr. DNA's Fun Trivia
- Guapote was added in version 0.1.8 to bring more ambient life to freshwater environments.
- Version 0.1.8.2 fixed a critical loading issue where the game would softlock if Guapote tried to spawn without experimental features enabled.
- The name "Guapote" refers to several species of Central American cichlid fish known for their vibrant colors and aggressive behavior in the wild.
