Ornithosuchus, meaning "Bird Crocodile," is an extinct genus of pseudosuchian from the Late Triassic of Scotland.
It was originally thought to be the ancestor of the carnosaurian dinosaurs (such as Allosaurus), before it was revealed to be actually closer to crocodilians than dinosaurs.
Appearance
- Medium-sized pseudosuchian with a crocodile-like build
- Powerful jaws filled with sharp, serrated teeth
- Strong limbs capable of both quadrupedal and bipedal movement
- Long tail for balance
- In-game size: 4 blocks long and 1 block tall
Behavior
- Hostile: Attacks players and mobs on sight
- Fast and agile predator
- Often found roaming open terrain hunting for prey
- Capable of both quadrupedal and bipedal movement
Obtaining
Ornithosuchus does not spawn naturally. To obtain one, you must:
- Enable Experimental Features
- Find
Ornithosuchus Remains or fossils
- Use the fossil revival process to create an Ornithosuchus
- Hatch from an Alligator Egg type egg
Diet
- Carnivore: feeds on
meat sources - Opportunistic predator, may scavenge when hunting is not possible
