Cameroceras is a genus of giant orthoconic nautiloid cephalopod from the Ordovician period, one of the earliest and largest predators to ever roam the seas. Its long, straight, chambered shell set it apart from the coiled cephalopods that would come to dominate later oceans, and its sheer size made it a dominant presence in its ancient marine ecosystem.

Appearance

• Long, straight, chambered shell tapering gradually to a point
• Banded rust-orange and pale grey patterning running the length of the shell
• Fleshy head and mantle with tentacles extending from the wide end of the shell
• Prominent eyes set close to the base of the tentacles
• In-game size: 11 blocks long and roughly 1 block tall

Behavior

• Passive: non-aggressive and will not attack players or other passive creatures
• Drifts and glides slowly through open water
• Prefers deeper, open marine environments

Obtaining

Cameroceras does not spawn naturally. To obtain one, you must:

1. Find Cameroceras Remains or fossils
2. Use the fossil revival process to create a Cameroceras
3. Hatch from a Fish Egg type egg
