Corythosaurus is a genus of hadrosaurid "duck-billed" dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous, living around 77–75.7 million years ago in what is now western North America. It is best known for its tall, helmet-shaped crest, which likely played a role in communication and display.

Appearance

• Large hadrosaur with a tall, rounded crest resembling a Corinthian helmet
• Long, muscular tail used for balance while moving
• Thick hind legs for walking and running; smaller forelimbs for foraging
• Scaly skin with subtle striping or patterning depending on cosmetic genes
• In-game size: 12 blocks long and 4 blocks tall

Behavior

• Neutral: Will not attack unless provoked
• Flees when threatened, often calling out to nearby herd members
• Moves in small herds and prefers open plains or forest edges
• Occasionally rears up to reach higher vegetation
• Uses vocalizations to communicate with other Corythosaurus nearby

Obtaining

Corythosaurus does not spawn naturally. To obtain one, you must:

1. Enable Experimental Features
2. Find Corythosaurus Remains or fossils
3. Use the fossil revival process to create a Corythosaurus
4. Hatch from an Alligator Egg type egg

Diet

• Herbivore: feeds primarily on Leaves
• May also graze on low shrubs, ferns, and other plant blocks depending on availability

• Corythosaurus is known from many skulls with tall crests, resembling those of a Cassowary and a Corinthian Helmet, the latter of which originated its name, "Helmeted Lizard"!
• Corythosaurus' holotype fossil was partially covered in skin impressions, making for a very notable find!
