An ancient genus of horseshoe crab dating back to the Jurassic. It resembled modern horseshoe crabs and is an example of evolutionary stability. These creatures lived in shallow marine environments and fed on small invertebrates.
Appearance
- Dome-shaped carapace similar to modern horseshoe crabs
- Long, pointed telson (tail spine) used for righting itself when flipped
- Multiple small legs and gill plates on the underside
- In-game size: 1 block long and 1 block tall
Behavior
- Passive: Will not attack players or other mobs
- Slowly crawls along the seafloor or shallow waterbeds
- Burrows slightly into sand when resting or hiding
- Flees by scuttling away when disturbed
Obtaining
Mesolimulus does not spawn naturally. To obtain one, you must:
- Find
Mesolimulus Remains or fossils
- Use the fossil revival process to create a Mesolimulus
- Hatch from a Spider Egg type egg
